Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Add flour, baking powder, and salt to a large bowl and mix well. Pour in the milk and stir until the dough begins to come together in a clump. Knead the dough lightly by hand until it becomes uniform and elastic.
  2. Pinch off 10 equal pieces of dough and roll each one into a ball. Set them aside.
  3. Heat the oil in a 25 cm skillet over medium heat to 175°C. There should be enough oil for the buns to partially submerge in it.
  4. Carefully lower the buns into the hot oil. Fry them until golden brown on one side (1.5–2 minutes), then flip and fry the other side for another 1.5–2 minutes until both sides are evenly browned.
  5. Transfer the cooked buns to paper towels or a cooling rack to drain excess oil.
  6. Serve the buns hot. They pair perfectly with spicy sauces, rice dishes, or simply as a standalone appetizer.
