Spring Rolls in an Air Fryer

Crispy rolls with pork filling and vegetables, cooked in an air fryer with minimal oil. Served with plum or soy sauce.
Ingredients
- 450 g Ground pork
- 1 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 clove Garlic
- 1 tbsp Ginger (grated)
- 1 pcs Carrot
- 3 pcs Green onions
- 3 cup Cabbage (thinly shredded)
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Rice vinegar
- 12 pcs Spring roll wrappers
- to taste Vegetable oil
- to taste Plum sauce
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, warm the olive oil and cook the ground pork, breaking it up with a spatula, for 6–8 minutes until cooked through.
- Add the garlic, ginger, grated carrot, green onions, and cabbage. Cook for 3–4 minutes until the cabbage wilts. Season with soy sauce and rice vinegar, remove from heat, and let cool.
- Place a wrapper in a diamond shape, spoon ¼ cup of filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold toward the center, and roll tightly. Repeat with all wrappers (≈12 pieces).
- Arrange the rolls in the air fryer basket without crowding, lightly brush with oil. Cook at 175 °C for 6–7 minutes, then flip, brush with oil, and cook for another 4–5 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Without an air fryer: pan-fry the rolls in about 1.5 cm of oil heated to 175 °C, cooking 3–4 minutes on each side until golden.
