Chocolate and Caramel Crispy Treat

A British classic — a crunchy confection with caramel and rice cereal, topped with smooth milk chocolate. Incredibly easy to make and perfect for afternoon tea!
Ingredients
- 6 pcs Mars bars
- 150 g Butter
- 120 g Rice cereal
- 150 g Milk chocolate
Instructions
- Grease a 20×20 cm baking tin with butter and line it with parchment paper.
- Chop the Mars bars and place them together with the butter in a heatproof bowl. Set the bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water (double boiler) and stir with a whisk until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.
- Pour the hot mixture over the rice cereal in a separate bowl and stir thoroughly until the cereal is evenly coated. Transfer the mixture to the prepared tin, gently pressing and smoothing the surface.
- Melt the milk chocolate in the microwave using short 20–30 second bursts, stirring between each one, or over a double boiler until completely melted.
- Spread the melted chocolate evenly over the rice mixture. Place the tin in a cool place (or refrigerator) until the chocolate is completely set, then cut into squares and serve.
