Patatas Bravas

Crispy potatoes with a spicy tomato sauce — a classic Spanish appetizer that will delight you from the first bite. Perfect served with beer or as a side dish.
Ingredients
- 900 g Potatoes
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
- 3 tbsp Olive oil
- 1 pcs Onion
- 2 clove Garlic
- 225 g Tomatoes in their own juice
- 1 tbsp Tomato paste
- 2 tsp Sweet paprika
- pinch Chili powder
- pinch Sugar
- bunch Fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté the diced onion for about 5 minutes until soft. Add the minced garlic, tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika, chili powder, and a pinch of sugar with salt. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce becomes thick and smooth.
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Pat the potatoes dry with paper towels, transfer to a baking dish, toss thoroughly with olive oil, and season with salt and pepper. Bake for 40–50 minutes until the potatoes are crispy and golden brown.
- Arrange the hot potatoes on serving plates, generously drizzle with tomato sauce, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
