Spicy Lamb Wrap with Cumin, Crispy Cabbage and Spicy Mayonnaise

Juicy lamb meat with spices on crispy cabbage and spicy mayonnaise — a spicy dish from Turkish cuisine that is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 pcs Lamb (steaks from the hind leg)
- 2 tsp Olive oil
- 1 tsp Ground cumin
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 3 tbsp White wine vinegar
- 2 pcs Carrot
- 2 pcs Green onion
- 400 g White cabbage
- 5 pcs Piquanté peppers
- 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 4 pcs Pita bread
Instructions
- Heat a grill pan over high heat. Rub the lamb steaks with olive oil and ground cumin, then season with salt and pepper. Place the meat on the hot pan and cook for approximately 3–4 minutes on each side until desired doneness. Transfer to a plate and let it rest.
- In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar in vinegar completely. Add the julienned carrot, green onion, cabbage and season with salt and pepper. Toss the salad well and let it sit for a few minutes.
- Blend the Piquanté peppers with mayonnaise in a blender until smooth. Spread a generous portion of salad on each pita bread. Slice the lamb thinly, trimming excess fat, and layer it on top of the salad. Drizzle with the remaining lamb juices. Spread generously with the spicy mayonnaise sauce and garnish with a few pepper slices. Roll into a wrap or split the pita and fill. Serve the remaining salad on the side.
