Homemade Margherita

Classic Italian pizza with crispy yeast dough, tender mozzarella, and aromatic tomatoes. Simple, delicious, and ready faster than you think.
Ingredients
- 150 ml Water
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 15 g Fresh yeast
- 225 g Wheat flour
- 1.5 tsp Salt
- Olive oil
- 80 g Tomato puree
- 70 g Mozzarella
- to taste Oregano
- to taste Fresh basil
- 1 pinch Black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 230°C.
- Add sugar to warm water, crumble fresh yeast into it, and stir well. Leave the mixture for 10–15 minutes in a warm place (on a sunny windowsill works perfectly) until foam forms on the surface.
- Sift flour and salt into a large bowl, make a small well in the center, and pour in the yeast mixture with olive oil.
- Dust your hands lightly with flour and slowly mix the ingredients until a uniform dough forms.
- Generously flour your work surface, turn out the dough, and knead it for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth, silky, and soft.
- Place the dough on a lightly oiled baking sheet (round or any other shape) and carefully stretch it into a flat layer.
- Spread the tomato puree evenly over the entire dough, all the way to the edges.
- Arrange the mozzarella over the tomatoes, season with oregano and black pepper, then lightly drizzle with olive oil.
- Bake in the oven for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is lightly browned.
- Remove the pizza from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve hot.
