Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 230°C.
  2. Add sugar to warm water, crumble fresh yeast into it, and stir well. Leave the mixture for 10–15 minutes in a warm place (on a sunny windowsill works perfectly) until foam forms on the surface.
  3. Sift flour and salt into a large bowl, make a small well in the center, and pour in the yeast mixture with olive oil.
  4. Dust your hands lightly with flour and slowly mix the ingredients until a uniform dough forms.
  5. Generously flour your work surface, turn out the dough, and knead it for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth, silky, and soft.
  6. Place the dough on a lightly oiled baking sheet (round or any other shape) and carefully stretch it into a flat layer.
  7. Spread the tomato puree evenly over the entire dough, all the way to the edges.
  8. Arrange the mozzarella over the tomatoes, season with oregano and black pepper, then lightly drizzle with olive oil.
  9. Bake in the oven for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is lightly browned.
  10. Remove the pizza from the oven, garnish with fresh basil, and serve hot.
