Ingredients
- 1 pcs Chicken
- 2 l Vegetable oil
- 1 pcs Egg white
- 1.5 cup Wheat flour
- 1 tbsp Brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Salt
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 2 tsp Onion salt
- 1 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Black pepper
- 0.5 tsp Celery salt
- 0.5 tsp Sage
- 0.5 tsp Garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp Cloves
- 0.5 tsp Oregano
- 0.5 tsp Basil
- 0.5 tsp Marjoram
Instructions
- Preheat the deep fryer to 175°C. In a small bowl, thoroughly mix together paprika, onion salt, chili powder, black pepper, celery salt, sage, garlic powder, cloves, oregano, basil, and marjoram.
- Pour flour into a large bowl, add brown sugar, salt, and the entire spice mixture. Mix thoroughly until evenly combined.
- Dip each piece of chicken in egg white to lightly coat, then place in the bowl with the flour mixture. Turn the chicken several times to ensure the spiced coating adheres well on all sides. Repeat with all chicken pieces.
- Let the breaded chicken rest for 5 minutes to allow the coating to dry slightly.
- Fry the chicken in small batches in the hot oil. Breasts and wings cook for 12–14 minutes, while legs and thighs require a bit more time. The chicken is done when a thermometer inserted into the thickest part reads 74°C.
- Transfer the cooked chicken to paper towels to drain, and serve hot.
