Big Mac

An iconic American burger featuring two juicy beef patties, crispy iceberg lettuce, and a signature sauce — now prepared at home. No waiting in line, just pure enjoyment.
Ingredients
- 400 g Beef ground meat
- 2 tbsp Olive oil
- 2 pcs Sesame seed burger buns
- to taste Yellow onion
- 0.25 pcs Iceberg lettuce
- 2 pcs Cheese
- 2 pcs Pickled gherkins (cornichons)
- 1 cup Mayonnaise
- 2 tsp White wine vinegar
- pinch Black pepper
- 2 tsp Mustard
- 1.5 tsp Onion salt
- 1.5 tsp Garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp Paprika
Instructions
- Prepare the signature sauce: mix mayonnaise, white wine vinegar, mustard, onion salt, garlic powder, and paprika in a bowl. Season with a pinch of pepper and salt to taste. Cover and refrigerate until assembly.
- Prepare the patties: season the ground beef with salt and pepper, divide into 4 equal portions (approximately 100 g each). Roll into balls, place each on a square of parchment paper, and flatten into a round patty about 15 cm in diameter. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. Cook the patties 2 at a time — 1–2 minutes on each side until lightly browned and cooked through. Keep the cooked patties warm while the second batch cooks.
- Cut each bun crosswise into three parts to create three 'layers'. Lightly toast all cut sides in the same skillet or in a toaster until golden brown.
- Assemble the burger: spread a generous amount of sauce on the bottom bun. Layer with sliced onion, shredded iceberg lettuce, a cheese slice, one patty, and several gherkin slices. Cover with the middle bun section, spread sauce again, and repeat the layers: onion, iceberg lettuce, gherkins, the second patty, and more sauce. Top with the upper bun and serve immediately.
