Arepa Pabellón

Venezuelan arepa filled with shredded beef, black beans, fried plantain, and tomato — a hearty version of the national dish pabellón criollo.
Ingredients
- 2 pcs Corn arepas with mozzarella
- 300 g Stewed shredded beef
- 1 cup Black beans
- 1 pcs Fried ripe plantain
- 1 pcs Tomato
- to taste Pico de gallo sauce
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 pinch Black pepper
Instructions
- Reheat the shredded beef in a skillet, season with salt and pepper. Warm the black beans in a saucepan. Fry the ripe plantain until golden. Dice the tomato into small cubes.
- Heat a grill or skillet and fry the arepas on each side until golden brown.
- Cut the arepa along the side at the center and fill with shredded beef, beans, fried plantain, and tomato.
- Serve with pico de gallo sauce or guacamole.
